Wedding Cakes
Your wedding cake should be a fusion of personal style and good
taste–literally! A truly memorable wedding cake will be a focal point of your
reception and will feature prominently in many of your pictures.
Plan to order your cake three to ten months in advance of your wedding.
For June weddings, plan to order at least six months in advance.
Occasionally we have a cancellation, or a date that was not booked, so do call,
even at the "last minute." We limit the number of cakes per
weekend so that your cake gets our total attention.
Often cakes made in large commercial bakeries are baked from mixes and frozen
for weeks prior to decorating. All
of our cakes are prepared just in time for you event. We do not store pre-made cakes.
Before you book your wedding cake with us, we'll let you taste* cake and
different coverings. You wouldn't buy a wedding dress without trying it on and
we think you should sample the cake before you buy it too! Please call
to schedule a meeting and tasting.
To get started, begin looking at wedding books and magazines to determine which
styles of cakes you don't like. That will narrow the design scope. We'll
help you from this point, and design a cake that fits your style and budget! If
possible, bring a picture of your dress and a swatch of the material for color
matching.
One of the main reason brides choose Peaches’ Creative Cakes to create their
wedding cake is because we don't require you to pick from standard cake designs.
Even if you do start with a picture of a cake from a magazine or cake design
book, we can modify it to make it your own.
* Tasting cakes are small round cakes, custom baked for your tasting
appointment. If for any reason you need to change or cancel your
